The Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative Tribunal and the Amhara Region Supreme Court have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration.
The MoU is designed to facilitate the joint cooperation of awareness and capacity building forums on capital market legal frameworks. In addition it also aims to take the initiative for the incorporation of capital market legal framework into the curriculum of Amhara National Regional State Justice and Law Institute.
By reinforcing cooperation between the two institutions, this MoU plays a vital role in building knowledge and skill in the country’s newly established capital market legal regime.
This, in turn, will support the effective handling of complex financial and investment related legal disputes, enabling the delivery of timely, consistent, and predictable judgment.
The partnership is also viewed as a strategic step toward establishing a uniform interpretation of capital market laws at the national level.
