Honorable Abenet Zerefu Abraham is the founding chair person of Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative tribunal, where he played a vital role in providing strategic leadership to establish the entire tribunal structure and constructing modern virtual tribunal. Furthermore, He is dedicated to establish the tribunal as an independent, efficient, transparent, and   trusted adjudicative body. 

Academically, he holds L.L.M in International Law, MA in Gender and Development Studies and L.L.B in Law. Furthermore he has an international certificate from UKs Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).  

He has served over twenty years in different public institutions. Legal Opinions and International Law Affairs General Director at Prime Minister Office, Administrative tribunal Judge at Ethiopian Commodity Exchange Authority, Supreme Court judge at Gambella National Regional State, and Senior Public Prosecutor and Justice System Reform Program Team Leader at Gamella National Regional State Justice Bureau. 

Since Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative Tribunal establishment, he diligently organized the institution’s resources in a standardized manner within a short period, implemented a Zoom- hearing system, making tribunal proceedings accessible everywhere. Additionally, he initiated the development of Guide Book for tribunal members that enables to have uniform interpretation and enforcement of capital market laws.
