About the Tribunal
The Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative Tribunal (ECMAT) is an independent and specialized judicial body established under Article 64 of the Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021.
ECMAT ensures fairness, transparency, and integrity within Ethiopia’s capital market by adjudicating disputes arising from decisions and actions of the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority or a person exercising the functions or powers of the Authority in a just, efficient, and impartial manner.
The Tribunal consists of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and three Members — highly qualified professionals with extensive knowledge and expertise in capital markets and finance.
