Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative Tribunal (ECMAT) conducts awareness-raising forum for Amhara regional justice sector professionals and officials.
ECMAT today November 22 organized an extensive awareness-raising forum in Bahir Dar for judges, prosecutors, and senior leaders from key judicial and governance institutions of the Amhara Regional State.
Participants included representatives from the Amhara Regional Supreme Court, the Justice Bureau, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, the Police Commission, and higher officials from the Office of the president.
on his opening remark, Abenet Zerefu, said that the tribunal has been established with a dedicated mandate to hear and adjudicate appeals related to the capital market claims.
He highlighted the importance of equipping judicial actors with a clear understanding of the regulatory framework is essential to safeguard the credibility, transparency, and efficiency of the capital market system.
The forum aimed at ensuring effective collaboration in the enforcement of capital market laws.
The Chairperson emphasized that the session is part of a wider effort to enhance inter-institutional cooperation. He reaffirmed the ECMAT commitment to working closely with judicial bodies in the Amhara Region to ensure effective implementation of capital market laws and smooth execution of future legal proceedings.
