The Ethiopian Capital Market Administrative Tribunal(ECMAT) is conducting awareness-raising forum with high officials, judges, and public prosecutors of the Central Ethiopia Regional State.
Through this discussion forum, ECMAT seeks to establish future institutional cooperation and to enhance awareness and understanding of its mandate and sectoral functions among institutions operating in the Central Ethiopia Region.
In particular, the establishment of ECMAT is intended to strengthen market integrity, enhance investor confidence, and ensure the resolution of capital market disputes through fair, transparent, and efficient procedures.
Participants were also made aware that the Administrative Tribunal is a specialized institution, distinct from ordinary courts, mandated to review and adjudicate appeals lodged against decisions rendered by the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority or a person exercising the powers and functions of the Authority.
